Terms of Service

The ChSCC AI Portal ("the Portal") is provided by Chattanooga State Community College ("the College") for use by its students, faculty, and staff. By using the Portal you agree to these terms and to the College's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
Acceptable use
- Use the Portal for College-related teaching, learning, research, and business.
- Do not enter passwords, credit-card numbers, or others' protected personal or health information beyond what a task legitimately requires.
- Do not use the Portal to harass, deceive, infringe copyright, cheat, or produce unlawful or prohibited content.
- Do not attempt to bypass budgets, access controls, or the audit log, or to probe or attack the service or the AI providers behind it.
AI outputs
- AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Verify anything you rely on. Do not treat outputs as legal, medical, financial, or official College advice.
- You are responsible for how you use outputs, including academic-integrity obligations. Follow your instructor's or department's rules on AI use.
Budgets and availability
- Each account has a monthly usage budget. When it is reached, new requests are paused until the budget resets. Budgets and model availability may change.
- The Portal is provided "as is," without warranty. The College may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.
Monitoring and enforcement
All prompts and responses are recorded in an institutional audit log retained for up to 365 days. Misuse may result in loss of access and referral under the applicable student or employee conduct process.
